That town you proudly called "My hometown," that village you proudly called "My village," are your hometown and your village because of your ancestors.

Your ancestors fought, some got injured and some got killed defending that town and that village from invaders who wanted to take possession of those places. Had your ancestors failed in those struggles and wars, you most likely wouldn't have had that ancestral land you proudly called "My root."

Your ancestors used roots and herbs from the buses and forests to stay healthy and combate sicknesses. They passed the same skills down the generations. Had they lack such skills or failed to pass it down, they would have died off and your grandparents wouldn't have been alive nor would you. You would have been ONE OF THE BILLIONS PERSONS WHO NEVER SUCCEEDED IN BEING BORN, WHO WILL NEVER HAVE EXPERIENCE LIFE FOR ALL ETERNITY.

Today, you considered your ancestors as evil people. Today, you don't want to hear anything about your ancestors. Today, the word "ancestors" is to you, synonymous with 'fetish, 'ritualists, 'murderers, ' etc.

You celebrate the (imaginary) ancestors of your slavers. The name, Abraham, Moses, Jeremiah, David, Solomon, Jesus, and Paul, excite and awe you. Tell us one positive things those people did to you. Even in that book called the bible which they brought, you cannot find and names like Adebayo, Emeka, Okon, Wike, Okpere.

What did Jesus do for you? What did any of the biblical character do for you? But there is substantial evidence your ancestors did much for you.

When you hate your ancestors and promote foreign culture and ancestry, you become a traitor to your culture and ancestors. Remember, one day you too will become an ancestor.

The Chinese and the Japanese, for examples, do not joke with their ancestors. They revered them for they understands the unquantifiable roles their ancestors played in making what they are today. China and Japan are blessed, African is cursed.
